I hadn't read any fanfic in a while and I'm only really getting started on Promare fic now, but here's some of the stuff that I've read so far...
01. Safekeeper by youaremarvelous. Lio/Galo, 11.4k, rated T. Post-canon, hurt/comfort, building to eventual relationship, *ongoing*.
This is mostly focused on Lio trying to find his purpose and place in the world without the Promare, with a side of Galo worrying about him/trying to help. Still ongoing, so mostly the hurt part out of the hurt/comfort so far and very slowly building the foundations for Lio/Galo.
02. Boy Meets Fire by Owlily. Lio & the Promare, 1.5k, G-rated. Post-canon/canon divergent, fix-it.
A cute and funny little fix-it fic about the Promare trying to look out for Lio after the events of the movie. Has accompanying art.
03. carry me home by sepiacigarettes. Lio/Galo, 2.8k, rated M. Post-canon, emotional hurt/comfort, start of relationship, includes sex scene.
Judging by the author's notes, this looks like it was a bit of a stream-of-conscious reaction after watching the movie for the first time. It's focused on Lio slowly healing after losing the Promare and finding himself growing closer to Galo in the process.
04. Something Human by hyrulehobbit. Lio/Galo, 38.3k, rated M. Post-canon, established relationship.
Starts out unassuming enough, with everyone being nicely happy and settled... only for fresh shenanigans to ensue, with the Promare returning and Kray stirring up trouble for our heroes again. This has a very cool sci-fi plot, with a very sweet portrayal of Lio and Galo's now established relationship woven into it.
